Career Overview

Thomas A. Robichaux is a former President of the Orleans Parish School Board, and a former Assistant and Deputy City Attorney for the City of New Orleans, where he was an instrumental figure during and after Hurricane Katrina.    In his 20-year career, he has set precedential law in over 30 reported cases varying from constitutional rights to zoning & land use and almost everything in between.    He has practiced in both state and Federal Courts, before the Louisiana Supreme Court, the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeal, and the US Supreme Court.   After leaving the City Attorney’s Office, Thomas became in-house counsel for Georges Enterprises, a multi-billion-dollar conglomerate in Louisiana, where for five years he handled all aspects of contracts, acquisitions, and governmental relations.  After 8 years in a solo practice, Thomas has joined Aaron & Gianna as a supporting attorney for each of our divisions, practicing in the areas of Civil Litigation, Appeals, Zoning & Land Use, Constitutional Litigation, Commercial Litigation, and Corporate Law.   Thomas teaches Continuing Legal Education courses in New Orleans in the areas of appellate practice, constitutional law, and municipal law.
