High Profile Real Estate Transactions
The Strategic Alliance of Aaron, PLC and Bayou Title, Inc. has served as settlement agent for the following real estate transactions involving the Orleans Parish School Board and reported by local newspapers:
1) The $6.3 Million acquisition by the School Board of the Timbers Office Building located at 3520 Gen. DeGaulle Blvd. on the west bank of New Orleans.
2) The $1.19 Million sale by the School Board of the Moss-Bauer Clinic Properties located at 703 Carondolet St. and 820 Girod St. on the east bank of New Orleans.
Other School Board transactions for which the Strategic Alliance will serve as settlement agent include:
1) The $202,500 sale by the School Board of the Fink Center located at 1300 Richland Road on the west bank of New Orleans.
2) The $230,000 sale by the School Board of the Wiltz Gymnasium located at 3041 N. Rampart St. on the east bank of New Orleans.
3) The $46,500 sale by the School Board of the Lawton Site located at Flanders and Newton Streets on the west bank of New Orleans.
4) The $2.3 Million sale by the School Board of the office buildings located at 3500-3510 Gen. DeGaulle Blvd. on the west bank of New Orleans.
The above listed properties sold or to be sold by the School Board were bid in at auctions held by the School Board in July and September of 2010.
Aaron, PLC has served as legal counsel to the School Board in connection with the above described auctions and real estate transactions. Title work and disbursements have been handled by Bayou Title, Inc. with title insurance underwritten through Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.
