A & G Attorneys Get Arbitration Award Vacated

In Carver Theater, LLC et al vs Kristen Melancon et al the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans was misled into referring the case for Arbitration before a panel of three Arbitrators.   At the conclusion of the Arbitration which ended with an Award in favor of the Defendants, the Plaintiffs moved the Arbitrators to vacate their Award based on testimony given during the Arbitration by the defendant Kristen Melancon that she never intended to honor the contract at issue…

Our attorneys have substantial experience in representing clients in the heavily regulated electric, gas and telecommunications industries. This experience includes the representation of business and governmental clients in regulatory matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Louisiana Public Service Commission, the New Orleans City Council, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and state and federal courts at all levels.  It has also included the representation of the  City Council of a large municipality with respect to its regulation of a gas and electric utility company,  its granting of telecommunications and cable television franchises and litigation involving such issues. Our telecommunications experience has included the handling of matters before the FCC, a number of federal appellate courts as well as before the U. S. Supreme Court.
