AARON, PLC IS NOW AARON & GIANNA, PLC
The Board of Directors of Aaron, PLC A Professional Law Corporation is pleased to announce that the law firm has been renamed Aaron & Gianna, PLC A Professional Law Corporation. The Board of Directors is additionally pleased to announce the addition of five attorneys and the opening of a branch office in Salt Lake City, Utah. The five attorneys who have joined the firm are Dominic J. Gianna who has joined the firm as a Name Shareholder and Member of our Board of Directors, John D. Person who has joined the firm as a Shareholder, Lee M. Rudin who has joined the firm as an associate, Lezly Petrovich who has joined the firm as Of Counsel in our New Orleans Office and Lisa Marcy who has joined the firm as Of Counsel in our Salt Lake City Office.
Mr. Gianna received his law degree from Loyola University College of Law where he served as Editor in Chief of the Law Review. He is a member of the Louisiana Bar. Mr. Gianna will chair the firm's Litigation Practice Group. He has been recognized by his colleagues as one of America’s great trial lawyers and for 36 years has tried cases from both the plaintiff and the defense side throughout the United States. Mr. Gianna has also been recognized as one of America’s most dynamic and inspired teachers of advocacy, persuasion and trial techniques. For 25 years, he has served as a member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy’s (NITA) National Faculty and as a NITA Program Director. He has led interactive NITA training programs throughout the English-speaking world, including every one of the 50 states, Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland and Wales. Mr. Gianna is a Co-Director of the LSU School of Law Trial Advocacy Training Program and an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at LSU Law School. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is a member of the prestigious International Society of Barristers. Mr. Gianna was formerly a Named Partner and Founding Member of Middleberg, Riddle & Gianna, LLP.
Mr. Person received his law degree from Loyola University College of Law and is a member of the Louisiana Bar. He will serve as a practice coordinator in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Person has over 30 years of experience in representing clients in a variety of areas including industrial accidents, environmental and toxic tort litigation, complex construction claim disputes, employment litigation, insurance coverage, maritime litigation and property and casualty insurance defense. He has been highly successful in assisting clients in finding creative and cost-saving solutions to their litigation problems. Mr. Person is a long time faculty member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) having taught at both Trial and Deposition Programs. Mr. Person is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He was formerly a Partner at Middleberg, Riddle & Gianna, LLP.
Mr. Rudin received his law degree from Tulane University School of Law, and is a member of the Louisiana Bar. While at Tulane Law, Mr. Rudin served as a Member of the Moot Court Board and as a Managing Editor of the Sports Lawyers Journal. He will practice in the areas of Business Litigation, Corporate and Insurance Defense and Employment Litigation. He was formerly an Associate at Middleberg, Riddle & Gianna.
Ms. Marcy received her law degree from the S.J. Quinney School of Law at the University of Utah. She is a member of the Utah Bar and has enjoyed over twenty-five years of practicing law in the public and private sectors and will oversee the firm’s Salt Lake City Office. Ms. Marcy has represented a variety of clients, from individuals to businesses, who have sought her help with commercial litigation, labor and employment, creditors’ rights, constitutional and civil rights laws, antitrust, education, and hospitality law. She has been endorsed by her peers in Utah Business Magazine in two categories: Utah’s Legal Elite, Civil Litigation, and as one of the magazine’s “30 Women to Watch.” Ms. Marcy was nominated by the Salt Lake Tribune as “Utahn of the Year” and by “City Weekly” Magazine in its list of annual “Best of…” She is one of a handful of women lawyers who teach legal and communications training throughout the nation. Ms. Marcy is a National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) Faculty Member and Program Director. She is additionally a Co-Director of the LSU School of Law Trial Advocacy Training Program.
Ms. Petrovich is a native of New Orleans and received her law degree from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama where she served on the Law Review. She is a member of the New Orleans and Louisiana Bar Associations. After serving as a federal law clerk for one year in Mobile, Alabama, Ms. Petrovich returned home in 1999 to practice law. Ms. Petrovich has over 15 years experience, working primarily as a litigator. Her practice areas include Commercial and Complex Litigation, Toxic Tort Litigation and Personal Injury Defense. Ms. Petrovich has also represented public entities in the area of public bid law and contracts and assists corporate clients with state and municipal laws. She was formerly Of Counsel to the law firm of Middleberg, Riddle & Gianna, LLP.
