RUDIN PROMOTED TO SHAREHOLDER
The Board of Directors of Aaron & Gianna, PLC A Professional Law Corporation is pleased to announce that Lee M. Rudin, Esq. has become a Shareholder of the firm effective January 1, 2018. Lee joined the firm in 2013 as an associate. Lee represents local and international clients of all sizes, from individuals and small businesses to multi-national corporations, as both plaintiffs and defendants. Lee has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in his years of practice, taking matters from their infancy to resolution, including appeals. He practices in state and federal court at the trial and appellate levels. Lee received his trial and deposition training through the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA), and works closely with senior shareholder and mentor Dominic Gianna, and managing shareholder, Bill Aaron
Lee practices predominantly in the areas of Business and Commercial Litigation, Corporate and Insurance (Casualty and Property) Defense, Employment Litigation, Product Liability Defense, and Toxic Tort Litigation.
Among his career accomplishments, Lee played a major role in the firm’s successful defense of the attack on Louisiana's quarter-billion-dollar smoking cessation program by the four major tobacco companies; and shared trial responsibilities on behalf of a Louisiana-based national excess insurer in a multi-million-dollar premium tax dispute against the Louisiana Department of Insurance. Lee has also defended products liability suits brought against a global consumer goods manufacturer; assisted a prominent neurosurgeon in protecting confidential patient and financial information from discovery; and negotiated with a national medical service provider for equal pay on behalf of a local psychiatrist. In addition, Lee resolved a suit without protracted litigation for a New Orleans family whose property was damaged by large developers and contractors, and assisted the firm’s shareholders in obtaining and securing settlements in maritime and other personal injury litigation, including obtaining recompense for an executive following her wrongful termination.
Lee’s present work includes representing a multi-billion-dollar, international fitness company and its affiliates against personal injury suits. He serves as second-chair in the prosecution of a seven-figure intellectual property infringement litigation on behalf of a casino software developer. Lee is also defending local businesses engaged in heavy industry along the Mississippi River, and their insurer, in high-value trucking suits; opposing breach of contract and breach of professional responsibility suits against a national chemical corporation specializing in industrial water treatment; and leading the prosecution of a construction dispute on behalf of homeowners against a French Quarter condominium association, developers, and their contractor.
Originally from central New Jersey, Lee moved to New Orleans to attend Tulane University, where he received his undergraduate and law degrees. At Tulane Law, Lee competed on the Jessup International Law Appellate Moot Court and National Civil Rights Mock Trial teams, and was also a managing editor for the Sports Lawyers Journal. Lee is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. He serves on the NITA Gulf Coast Deposition Skills Program faculty, and has served on the faculties of the Louisiana State University Vinson-Elkins Trial Advocacy Program and American Bar Association Critical Trial Skills for Legal Services Attorneys Program.
Lee lives in uptown New Orleans with his wife, Skylar.
