A & G Attorneys Get Arbitration Award Vacated

In Carver Theater, LLC et al vs Kristen Melancon et al the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans was misled into referring the case for Arbitration before a panel of three Arbitrators. At the conclusion of the Arbitration which ended with an Award in favor of the Defendants, the Plaintiffs moved the Arbitrators to vacate their Award based on testimony given during the Arbitration by the defendant Kristen Melancon that she never intended to honor the contract at issue…
Firm History
Our firm was formed in January of 1997 by Richard A. Goins, its incorporator and sole voting shareholder, as The Goins Law Firm (A Professonal Law Corporation). We operated as The Goins Law Firm until January of 2000 when William D. Aaron, Jr. joined the firm as a voting shareholder and our firm’s name was changed to Goins Aaron, A Professional Law Corporation.
As Goins Aaron we grew from a two attorney boutique to a full service law firm. Our firm survived Hurricane Katrina in August of 2005 temporarily relocating from New Orleans to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Our Baton Rouge office was located at 9270 Siegen Lane Bldg 404 Baton Rouge, LA 70810. In June of 2006 we returned to New Orleans closed our office at 1010 Common Street and opened our current New Orleans office at 201 St. Charles Avenue.
In July of 2010 Mr. Aaron acquired Mr. Goins’ stock in the firm and in September of 2010 our firm’s name was changed to Aaron, PLC A Professional Law Corporation.
On November 1, 2013 Rose Hager and DeWayne L.Williams, long-time employees of the firm, were promoted to the rank of voting shareholder.
In December of 2013 Dominic J. Gianna joined the firm as a voting shareholder, and our firm’s name was changed to Aaron & Gianna, PLC A Professional Law Corporation.
