Co-Counsel - State and Federal Litigation
Because of their extensive trial experience attorneys of Aaron & Gianna are frequently asked to serve as co-counsel with national and other law firms in complex civil cases to be tried in state or federal courts. Cases in which our attorneys have served as co-counsel have involved complex business disputes, class actions, serious personal injuries, wrongful death, professional liability, breach of fiduciary duty, insurance coverage, derivative actions, toxic torts, product liability, employment discrimination and ERISA.
In cases involving jury trials attorneys with our law firm are frequently tasked to take the lead on jury selection, opening statements, closing arguments and damages with responsibility for the direct and cross examination of fact and expert witnesses being split between attorneys of our law firm and those of the originating law firm.
Bill Aaron, a name shareholder of our firm, has tried over 200 cases and is a member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Membership in ABOTA is by invitation only and is based on a showing of significant jury trial experience. Since 1991 Bill has served on the faculty of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) teaching licensed attorneys from around the country enrolled in NITA jury trial programs as well as NITA deposition programs. Bill is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Louisiana Super Lawyers in the area of Business Litigation. He is additionally listed in the Best Lawyers in America n the areas of Municpal Law and Municipal Litigation.
Dominic Gianna, a name shareholder of our firm, has tried over 150 cases and is a member of the prestigious International Society of Barristers (ISOB). Membership in ISOB is by invitation only and is based on skill as a trial lawyer and personal and professional integrity. For 25 years, Dominic has served as a member of NITA’s National Faculty and as a NITA Program Director and has led interactive NITA training programs throughout the English-speaking world, including every one of the 50 states, Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland and Wales. Dominic is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Louisiana Super Lawyers in the area of Civil Litigation.
